Because of your support, Awareness Through Aesthetics was a huge success even during a pandemic! Human trafficking has not taken pause in spite of recent events. In fact, as people may have become more financially vulnerable, the risk of exploitation has increased. Also, as North Carolina children are moving to remote learning, the risk of internet crimes against children increases.
According to the North Carolina Department of Administration, “human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the United States”, with an active presence in the Triangle area. In response, local aesthetic entrepreneurs, providers, and leaders are joining together to host a gala event on March 12, 2020, from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at Raleigh’s Union Station.
